Bearfoot Backpacker is a small, locally owned partnership providing educational adventures to independent travelers. Bearfoot was founded in 1998 to create thoughtful exploration of Washington’s natural areas, to foster respect for nature and provide active travelers alternative experiences. Each adventure is designed to enrich our understanding of the earth and to help preserve its natural habitats and cultural heritage. We do this by offering both natural history talks on our outings and by describing the first peoples of the area. In accordance with our values, Bearfoot Backpacker travels in small groups and adheres to a code of environmental and cultural ethics. In addition, Bearfoot Backpacker initiates and support trail cleanups, cultural exchanges and contribute part of it profits to conservation and community services. Bearfoot practices waste prevention and uses recycled products in all of our literature and uses reusable containers on all of our trips. Wise use of resources,
