Seattle-based TCS Expeditions was founded in 1991 by T.C. Swartz, who has spent more than two decades developing travel concepts noted for their uniqueness and innovation. He masterminded the first successful commercial South Pole expedition and the first luxury private train journeys through China and Russia. As founder of Society Expeditions and its president for 13 years, he developed the first cruising expeditions allowed into Burma, the first passenger cruise to complete the Northwest Passage from the west to east and the first expedition cruise to all seven continents. Since our first private jet expedition, an around-the-world program in 1995, we have taken more than 2,200 travelers to over 40 countries, including some of the world's most remote and exotic destinations. In addition to our private jet expeditions to Asia and the Near East, Africa, South America and Around the World, we operate icebreaker expeditions to the North Pole and private rail journeys across Central Asia
